About the Author
Debra Doubrava, PhD is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor with over 30 years of experience providing mental health services to diverse human beings of all stages of life. Dr. Debbie combines professional insight with her own personal fertility story in this first As If Studio book. She wrote Fertile Love: The Magical Story of How YOU Were Made to celebrate her daughter’s third birthday, keeping the story deliberately inclusive and simple so that it could resonate with all couples (including LGBTQ+) who, after facing the challenges of infertility, may also have a fertile love story to share with their little one. Debbie is a 20 year+ breast cancer survivor who lives, practices, and teaches gratefully and abundantly ever after in South Central PA. She and her husband proudly parent their oh so spirted furbabies and truly magical daughters.

Nicole Smith-Merry, MS is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania who shares her time and talents between both coasts. Nicole is cofounder of As If Studio, LLC (www.asifstudio.org) with the author, Debra Doubrava. She enjoys writing, drawing, and playing pool, as well as laughing and loving her way through life with her family, friends, and five dogs.
Julia Barry Parker lives in Southern California with her husband, two cats, and a dog. She is both an artist and a holistic practitioner, known for her colorful paintings full of good energy and her contributions to the local wellness community. In her free time, she tends to her plants, enjoys video games, and likes to spend time with her family.
