This book was intended and illustrated for all couples (including LGBTQ+) and for all children regardless of race or gender. Parents have an opportunity at the end to creatively add elements of their own love story and how their magical child came to be in the world.

Fertile Heart: The Magical Story of How YOU Were Made celebrates the courageous and empowering journey to single parenting by choice with the assistance of fertility angel helpers. Fertile Heart is modeled after Fertile Love, which was inspired by the author’s own fertility struggles and ultimate experience of how she and her husband (like other couples) made a baby with the help of assisted reproductive technology (ART). Fertile Heart was written as a read aloud love story and family heirloom for a single parent by choice to share with their little one to celebrate and explain how their magical child came to be in the world. The illustrations are gender and race inclusive, and journaling prompts at the end create an opportunity for each parent to add elements specific to their own life journey and path to parenthood.
